“You never change things by fighting the existing reality.
To change something, build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete.”―R. Buckminster Fuller
Poetics of Invention was an exhibition featured in the main floor of Bizzell Memorial Library that explored the process of invention from ideation, to fabrication, and to commercialization from the perspective of an OU professor, inventor, and entrepreneur as he attempts to make English more accessible to the 350 million Chinese learners through merging the world's two most-spoken languages at the level of their phonetic DNA. This exhibition opened on Sept. 7, 2017 and closed Aug. 6, 2018. Poetics of Invention then travelled to University of Missouri-Kansas City where it was on display in the Miller Nichols Library from Aug. 20, 2018 through May 17, 2019.
